Food, more food.
How come we are so blind to food? What are we thinking throughout the day. Are men thinking about women and women thinking about men. Children thinking about when they will play. Most of us think how we look before going outside. Am I walking right, am I saying right etc. We are buying things that ought not to be bought. It is so displeasing when you see someone giving more importance to wafers than giving importance to nuts and healthy fruits and vegetables. Make your potion of vegetables more from today. Make your fruits one portion more from today. Visit a dietician. Every occupation needs different diet at different age and different stages of their lives. Do you know that you ought to eat 600 gms of food everyday. Are we eating it. We are increasing the portion of rice and wheat when what we ought to do is that we must increase the potion of vegetables. Children hate vegetables. Have we asked why? What wrong thing are we doing when we are not including vegetables in their diet. Why are children running away from food? There is a simple answer. We don’t know how to cook. Eating food in a restaurant has become more delicious than eating at home. Look at your expenses as a pie chart. Increase the percentage of fruits and vegetables that you buy rather than doing something else. Buy appealing foods like plum, red apples, cherries, grapes which children will like to eat. Keep one fruit atleast daily after dinner. Even bananas are ok. Ask them not to eat much rice but bananas instead. Fruits prices are rising high. Include that cucumber and tomato raw with your dinner. Why we are not doing it? There are only two reasons that I can think of. Either it is tradition, or it is that children don’t like them. It doesn’t matter if you use chatt masala along with fruits and vegetables but prefer reducing it. Don’t peel off the skin of your fruits. It has lots of nutrients in it. Carrot eat it one. It has vitamin A. Don’t buy too much vitamin tablets but instead substitute it with proper food. One column in the newspaper said once that carrots are better than B-carotene consumption. Stay happy, stay healthy, stay fit.
